Apart from Sasaki and Miyano, we also get a spinoff about the budding romance between dorm mates Hirano and Kagiura in Shi Harusono’s slice-of-life and BL manga series. They have a different relationship from Sasaki and Miyano, but do Hirano and Kagiura end up together?
Hirano and Kagiura has been serialized in Media Factory’s shojo manga magazine, Monthly Comic Gene, since March 15, 2019.
The BL manga is still ongoing, having been released in four tankobon manga volumes as of writing.

Hirano and Kagiura’s Dorm Life Love Story
It all began with a knock on the door. Kagiura Akira, a high school freshman, is concerned that his first dormmate will constantly scare and intimidate him.
When the door opened, a scary-looking guy with dyed hair and an irritated expression on his face greeted Kagiura. Worse, the person in question was none other than Hirano Taiga, a member of the disciplinary committee.
Days passed, and Kagiura discovered that Hirano was the polar opposite of the man he was picturing.
Hirano is not only caring but also kind. Hirano also eats things that Kagiura dislikes and constantly advises him to get his act together.
He also encourages Kagiura to look forward to new opportunities whenever he fails at something.
Kagiura just needed a few months to fall in love with his senpai and dormmate. He is always at ease when Hirano is around, and before he realizes it, he is completely head over heels in love with him.
Kagiura adores Hirano so much that he plans to marry him in the future so that no one else can have his senpai.
Do Hirano and Kagiura End Up Together?
As of writing, Hirano and Kagiura have yet to end up together. Given how close they are and how seriously they take each other's romantic sentiments, they are expected to end up together by the end of the manga series.
While Kagiura expresses his affection for Hirano, the latter refuses to accept the former's feelings. In actuality, when Kagiura confessed, Hirano rejected him in an instant, claiming that he did not share Kagiura's feelings.
Hirano just sees Kagiura as a bothersome younger brother, which is why he can't leave him alone.
Hirano's time spent waking Kagiura every morning, eating his green peppers, and so on does not imply that he wants to be devoted to him.
It's just that Kagiura is so reliant on Hirano that it makes the latter want to look after the former.
Kagiura is aware that he is overly reliant on Hirano, but his senpai takes such good care of him that he doesn't know when to let go. As a result, Kagiura becomes increasingly dependent on Hirano.
Kagiura also believes that he will never be able to stop being selfish with Hirano. After all, his only desire in life is to become the most important person in Hirano's life.
Do Hirano and Kagiura Ever Kiss?
No, Hirano and Kagiura have yet to kiss each other in the manga series. Kagiura only allows himself to touch Hirano for 10 seconds each day, and that’s it.
This 10-second rule is for Hirano to know whether Kagiura has the potential to become his romantic partner in the future. By doing this, Hirano can process his feelings for Kagiura easily.
