When Will Breeze, The New VALORANT Tropical Beach Map Be Released?

VALORANT Episode 2, Act 3 is coming this week, and a new tropical beach map called Breeze is the highlight of the major update. Riot has already released a trailer revealing the sixth VALORANT map, and various content creators have given us a preview of it. Now, fans want to know when exactly Breeze will join the VALORANT map pool.

Breeze has long-range engagements, wide-open spaces, and a tropical beach environment with narrow hallways in the middle of the map. Riot recently explained their objectives with the new map.

"One of the main goals we had with Breeze was building larger and more open spaces with longer sightlines than the other maps in the pool," said Sal Garozzo, Riot Games senior game designer. "This provides an opportunity for different weapons and agents to shine. Each map should provide different strengths and weaknesses for the agents in the roster to explore while supporting different types of strategies and team compositions."

Breeze will be released on April 27, 2021, the first day of Episode 2, Act 3, so players can grind with the new VALORANT battle pass while enjoying the new beach map. However, Breeze will unlikely be available in competitive matchmaking in the first two weeks, so players trying to climb up the ranks might have to wait a bit longer.

Breeze will be the sixth VALORANT map added to the mix with Bind, Haven, Split, Ascent, and Icebox. The new map should give players a fresh experience after feeling the cold environment of Icebox, which was originally released in October 2020. It looks like Riot might be releasing a new map in VALORANT every 6 months or so, but the developer hasn't announced when the seventh map will be released yet.
