Jeremy Renner just appeared on Jimmy Kimmel and while he cannot disclose other details as regards the plot and other matters on the new Disney+ show of his first ever solo outing, he was open to share when it takes place, "It's current. Yeah. I can tell you it takes place pretty much as it's released. It's kind of like a holiday sort of event - if you will.”

Renner added, “It takes place in New York, over the span of time that it's actually being released. Not that this is in real-time or anything, but it does take place over like a week in New York over Christmas.”

While it seems in sync to the current time period that we all have, it should be remembered that the current universe jumped into five years after the blip and currently, the year in such timeline is 2023. Well, the good thing is that while watching the new show, the season is all around and having the same vibe as the physical environment of all, Hawkeye will surely be able to tap into the fans and viewers more intimately.
