Amazon's highly-anticipated fantasy series The Wheel of Time is coming this November, bringing the world of author Robert R.R. Jordan's best-selling book series to the small screen, and now, Amazon Studios has revealed a new poster juxtaposing the heroes and monsters of the show.
The poster, shown below, features seven of the main characters: Moiraine (played by Rosamund Pike), Lan Mandragoran (Daniel Henney), Nynaeve al'Meara (Zoë Robins), Rand al'Thor (Josha Stradowski), Perrin Aybara (Marcus Rutherford), Mat Cauthon (Barney Harris), and Egwene al'Vere (Madeleine Madden).With the show's Great Serpent logo centered in the image, the space above is taken by the monstrous Shadowspawn that the heroes will encounter. There is also a Myrddraal, also known as the Eyeless, looming overhead with an army of Trollocs coming from behind it.
According to the official synopsis, Wheel of Time is set in a sprawling, epic world where magic exists and only certain women are allowed to access it. The epic story follows Moiraine, a member of the incredibly powerful all-female organization called the Aes Sedai, as she arrives in the small town of Two Rivers. There, she embarks on a dangerous, world-spanning journey with five young men and women, one of whom is prophesied to be the Dragon Reborn, who will either save or destroy humanity.
Rober Jordan's series is being adapted for television by executive producer/showrunner Rafe Judkins. Earlier this month, Amazon dropped a new trailer for The Wheel of Time.
Amazon Prime will officially launch Wheel of Time on November 19, with the first three episodes premiering at once followed by weekly releases through the season finale on Dec. 24.
