What Thundercats Roar Would Look Like as a Video Game

It hasn't even debuted yet but there is still a lot of controversy surrounding Thundercats Roar, a new cartoon based on the 80's property. Fans of the cartoon were outraged when they saw these chibi versions of Lion O and company, which probably won't stop until the cartoon debuts. Artist Caspixel has decided to see what would happen if the show were a video game and as usual, it looks pretty cool.

The artist has done this a number of times, famously retweeted by Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson after revealing video game-like art for Jumanji: Welcome to the Jungle. This new work for Roar is just as good and makes us wish that there would be a video game tie-in with this art style since it would be lovely to look at.

While not popular with some, there are those defending this version of the Thundercats simply because it hasn't come out yet. Even though it might end up trying to emulate the odd Teen Titans Go formula, it could form a whole new identity as long as it's written well.

Expect to see Thundercats Roar on Cartoon Network sometime in 2019. Most people are already expecting to hate it but here's hoping the series proves them wrong.
