It looks like Netflix is expanding its international content. For the first time ever, we're getting a new action film from The Netherlands.
The movie, entitled The Takeover, takes on the genres of thriller, crime, and action. Here's what you need to know about The Takeover.
The Takeover Release Date
Netflix released The Takeover on November 1, 2022. There is no word yet on whether the film will be released in theaters, which means you'll only be able to watch the film via Netflix.
The movie has a total runtime of one hour and twenty eight minutes.
The Takeover Story
The official synopsis of The Takeover reads:
“Framed for murder after uncovering a privacy scandal, an ethical hacker must evade the police while trying to track down the criminals blackmailing her.”
The film is directed by Annemarie van de Mond and follows the life of Mel Bandison (played by Holly Mae Brood), a brilliant self-proclaimed hacker.
Mel manages to unearth a private scandal, which gets her embroiled in a deadly conspiracy. She is hunted down by the police after being framed for murder. It is up to her to clear her name, avoid the police, and look for the criminals who have targeted her.
