A new trailer arrives for Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania and it teases more of the real motives of Kang the Conqueror on why he needs Scott Lang and while the latter bites the bait, there's one place that could possibly be the center of it all: the Quantum Nexus. What is it, anyway?
What is the Quantum Nexus in Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania?
There are a lot of theories that point to the Quantum Nexus being a pivotal location in Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania and such a place is not one Kang, himself, could access which is why he would need the help of Ant-Man because for a man so powerful like Kang, he still doesn't have it all.
The new trailer hints to Janet Van Dyne having a previous encounter with Kang the Conqueror as she knows how the villain plays dirty with his deals, possibly employing Janet, too, in the past because of the same ability that they have that Kang doesn't -- size-shifting.
The Quantum Nexus having its "Nexus" status means that despite the infinite number of realities in the universe, there is only one like that in existence. Similar to Nexus Beings like America Chavez, or even the Scarlet Witch, there is no other Quantum Nexus in the multiverse.
The Quantum Nexus is said to be the center of the Quantum Realm, the convergence of all of time and space into one making it a really dangerous place to be in. No rules apply here so that easily makes it a treacherous location.

Why would Kang send Scott to the Quantum Nexus? Well, theories point to the variants of Scott Lang being there because they could be hunted by Kang through different realities and offered the same deal to get what he wants from the Quantum Nexus.
Another possible reason is that the Heart of Forever, the one that powers the Chronopolis and allows Kang to be, virtually, in all the eras of human history, could be located in the Quantum Nexus. Without the Heart of Forever, Kang is trapped in the Quantum Realm.
The Nexus of All Realities could also be in the Quantum Nexus because that one would allow him to have an entry way to whatever reality he wants. All of the realities in the multiverse has one entry point to it, thus, that could be the thing that Kang wants to pull off his grand scheme of being The Conqueror.
