What is the Plot of Hawkeye?

With Hawkeye about to arrive in a few days, the hype is up for the very first solo outing of the marksman of the Avengers and the one whom he passes the bow and arrow onto, Kate Bishop, and in the upcoming Disney Plus series, it will be circling about him and his debts from the five-year period wherein he gained tons of enemies. What exactly is the plot of the canon show?

The official synopsis of the Hawkeye is as follows:

"While in New York City post-Blip, Clint Barton must work together with the young archer Kate Bishop to confront enemies from his past as Ronin in order to get back to his family in time for Christmas.”

The synopsis gives the exact timeline when it happens in the MCU – it is the present time in the MCU, the Christmas after everyone was brought back from the blip, and finally, Clint Barton is enjoying his time with his children in New York City when he saw on the news that someone is masking as him wearing the costume of Ronin.

When Barton confronted who that person is, it is Kate Bishop wearing a similar Ronin costume and she is in some deep mess as she is now facing those who Barton wronged during his time as Ronin, at a time when he was extremely angered by the fact that his family was blipped by Thanos right in front of his eyes. In a scene in Endgame, it was shown how ruthless he became by killing a Japanese yakuza.

Sorting the mess, he sends his children home and along with Kate Bishop, they try to save Christmas as soon as possible so he could come home to his family.

What makes it interesting is that Yelena Belova will also be in the series shortly after her debut in Black Widow and in the post-credits scene, Contessa Val who first appeared in The Falcon and the Winter Soldier, told Yelena that Clint is the reason why her sister died. It is possible that she will be facing the marksman as well with such a wrong premise in her head.

Jeremy Renner returns as Hawkeye with Hailee Steinfeld as Kate Bishop, Vera Farmiga as Eleanor Bishop, Fra Fee as The Clown, Tony Dalton as Swordsman, Alaqua Cox as Echo/ Maya Lopez, and Zach McClarnon as William Lopez. Florence Pugh will be reprising her role as Yelena Belova after her debut in Black Widow. Oh, and Lucky the Pizza dog will also be part of the cast.

Hawkeye premieres with two episodes on November 24, 2021 at 3 AM EST exclusively on Disney Plus available in 4k. It has six episodes in total and it will be released weekly.
