Slumberland is a Netflix original movie that stars Jason Momoa and Marlow Barley. The film tells the story of a young girl named Nemo who lives in a lighthouse with his father.

They have a perfect life together, sharing breakfast routines, playing the piano, sharing stories about Flip, and enjoying each other’s company. One night, after Nemo’s father, tucks her into bed as usual and leaves for work, she has a nightmare where her dad’s boat sinks beneath the waves during a strong storm. She sees her father swim from the wreckage, but a shadow creature with many tentacles pulls him back into the depths.
Nemo wakes up the next day and learns that her nightmare is real - her father was lost at sea. After a short ceremony, she ends up living with her father’s brother, an uncle she has never met before. She moves to the city and starts going to an expensive private school, but this is just the beginning of her adventures.

Nemo in Slumberland
Lost in her new life, Nemo escapes in her dreams, where her stuffed pig (named Pig) comes to life and where she meets Flip.
Her father always told her stories about Flip, so she could not believe her eyes that Flip was real. This Flip looked different from the Flip she imagined.
Nemo teams up with Flip (and Pig, of course) to travel through Slumberland in search of treasures. For Nemo, it's meeting her father one more time. For Flip, it's a legendary pearl that will grant your wish that can only be found in the Sea of Nightmares.
Flip and Nemo pass through a variety of dreams, including a dancer’s butterfly-filled dance party, a young boy driving a truck, a man admiring his reflection in a mirrored powder room, and a young Canadian man flying on a bird's back.
While they travel through dreams, the trio is pursued by Nightmare, an evil entity that can smell and comes after the one who is afraid.
What is the Nightmare in Slumberland?
The Nightmare in Slumberland is a shadowy creature that looks like it is made of smoke. Nemo’s nightmare seems to take the same form as the creature she dreamed pulled her father to the depths of the sea.
Nemo, Flip, and Pig narrowly escape the Nightmare many times throughout the film, but it manages to catch them nearing the end.
Nemo and Pig manage to secure a pearl from the Sea of Nightmares, but the Nightmare runs after them. Flip rescues the duo, and they backtrack through the dreams. The Nightmare catches us with them and twists a tentacle around Flip, tightening it with the intent to kill.
Nemo, who wants to use the pearl to meet her father one more time, uses the pearl to save Flip. She later on finds out Pig has a second pearl, on which she makes a wish, spends time with her dad, and returns to the waking world.
