A new psychosexual thriller has just been released on Netflix and it's something worth checking out. The four-part series was actually based on a 1991 novel written by Josephine Hart entitled Damage.
A year after the book came out, it was adapted into a film that starred Jeremy Irons and Juliette Binoche.
Now, the story has been turned into a Netflix show directed by Lisa Barros D'Sa and Glenn Leyburn. Here's what you need to know about this new adaptation:
How Many Episodes Is There on Netflix’s Obsession?
Obsession was released by Netflix earlier today, April 13, 2023. The show actually did not take too long to produce.
The main cast were announced in spring 2022, just in time for its filming schedule in and around London.
There are a total of four episodes, which have all been released at the same time. Each of these episodes run between 30 to 45 minutes.
What Is Obsession Story About?
The official synopsis of the show on Netflix reads:
"Anna's cheating on the man she loves—with his father. Meeting in hotels and alleys, they think their secret's safe. But soon, strange texts appear."
The limited series is loosely based on Josephine Hart's Damage novel, which follows the life of a respected surgeon's affair with the son of his fiancé.
