Who Is Masayoshi Hashimoto in Classroom of the Elite?
Before we dive into Hashimoto’s fate, let’s have a closer look at his character.
Masayoshi is a self-centered person, demonstrating a lack of true allegiance to anyone but himself.
He finds ways to align with and support the winning side, ensuring he remains in a position of advantage.
At the start of the first year, upon the outbreak of Class-A's leadership conflict, Masayoshi figures out that Arisu Sakayanagi is the more suitable contender for the leadership role.
He immediately aligns himself with her faction and becomes an integral part of her close group.
In his first year, he is part of the Arisu faction and is even part of the tennis club at Advanced Nurturing High School.
At the Mixed Training Camp, Masayoshi finds himself in Kiyotaka Ayanokoji’s group.
Demonstrating a robust social network, he engages in open conversations with Miyabi Nagumo about Kiyotaka and various other topics.
Their collective efforts enable the group to steer clear of expulsion by surpassing the school’s minimum cut-off requirements.
What Happened to Hashimoto in Classroom of the Elite? The Story So Far
In the Classroom of the Elite light novel volume 11.5, Masayoshi is seen engaging in some sort of secret discussions with Ryuji Kanzaki and Kakeru of Class-B, as they meet in the cubicle.
However, in his second year, he still pledges allegiance to Arisu’s faction. At the start of the second year, he admits that he aspires to contribute to Class-A.
Classroom of the Elite: Year 2, the sequel light novel series, is still ongoing, so it is difficult to say what will happen to Hashimoto.
It remains to be seen if he can graduate as a Class-A student. Arisu is also aware of Hashimoto’s cunning nature, but she still wants to have him in her group.
Classroom of the Elite Season 3 is currently streaming on Crunchyroll. The third season is adapting the Mixed Training Camp arc.
Kiyotaka and his peers have successfully moved up to Class-C, but a challenging third term awaits them.
