Classroom of the Elite is back with Season 3, and with it comes renewed interest in the series, especially the complicated character relationships. One thing that may be on the minds of fans is, does Kushida like Ayanokoji in Classroom of the Elite?
There might be an obvious answer to this in the minds of many fans, but it’s a valid question given how Kushida is far from a straightforward character.

Kikyo Kushida: Her Two Personalities
On the outside, Kikyo Kushida is a bubbly and energetic girl who quickly became one of the most popular in Class-D.
In fact, her friendly nature extends not just to her class, as Kushida is also shown to be friendly to students in other classes.
This is all a ruse though, as it is quickly revealed that Kushida’s true personality is spoiled and rotten. She also has a penchant for throwing tantrums when things don’t go her way.
Because of this, she does not get along at all with Classroom of the Elite's main characters, Kiyotaka Ayanokoji and Suzune Horikita. This was especially apparent in the events of the second season.

What Did Kikyo Kushida Do in Classroom of the Elite Season 2?
One of the most interesting plot points of Season 2 is Ayanokoji looking for the traitor who is leaking information to Class-C.
Ayanokoji and Horikita deduce that Kushida is the traitor, and that was indeed the case. It turns out that Kushida was leaking information so that the two could get expelled.
The reason for Kushida wanting to get the two expelled is that they are the ones who know her true personality. After all, she doesn’t want people to find out about this.
Does Kushida Like Ayanokoji in Classroom of the Elite? Explained
Given her two-faced nature, some fans may be wondering if Kikyo Kushida likes Kiyotaka Ayanokoji. The answer here is no, at least based on the events of the second season.
Kushida has shown her other side to Ayanokoji back in the first season. While their relationship is still unclear before, Kushida soon states that she hates Ayanokoji just as much as Horikita.
This is based on the developments shown in the anime as the Classroom of the Elite light novels had some further developments.
Interestingly, it seems that Kushida may have developed feelings for Ayanokoji.
This was shown in 2nd Year Volume 8 where Kushida hits a wall and blushes after Ayanokoji tells her that some people like her true personality.
Given this, it will be interesting to see how the two’s relationship will develop as the light novel’s story continues.
