Griselda Blanco was the Medellin Cartel drug lord whose work rooted way back in the 1970s and 1980s.

She gained the moniker "Cocaine Godmother" for her huge success in running illegal smuggling rings and building her drug-trading empire since the 1970s.

According to Britannica, the Columbian cocaine trafficker was ruthless when it came to paving the way for the Cocaine Cowboy Wars.

Blanco wouldn't hesitate to order hits in public areas during her reign of terror. That is until she was arrested in 1985 with a 20-year imprisonment sentence in her hands.

The Guardian reported that Blanco stashed "tens of millions of dollars monthly" from her enterprise, which was known to make drug shipments exceeding 1,500 kilograms.

At her peak in 1978, she reportedly amassed a £1.5 Billion fortune, making £63 Million a month transporting two tons of cocaine from Colombia to New York and Miami.

Before she died, Celebrity Net Worth estimated that Griselda Blanco's net worth cost approximately $500 Million worth of properties, including her Miami home before it turned into a whopping $2 Billion.

Now, considering that she couldn't bring the huge sum she earned all these years, what happened to Griselda Blanco's money?

Who Inherited the "Cocaine Godmother's" Money After Her Death?

Unfortunately, there is no confirmation on whether Griselda Blanco secured her own will before she passed away, which potentially left her fortune unattended.

However, it is worth mentioning that she had always prioritized a better life for her sons, who may have inherited her wealth.

Blanco had four sons named Osvaldo, Uber, and Dixon Trujillo, and her youngest was Michael Corleone Sepulveda, who was named after the Godfather character that Al Pacino played.

Her three older sons were unfortunately murdered, leaving her youngest, Michael, alive in his mid-40s at present time.

Blanco had reportedly planned to hand her empire down to Michael, but this information remains unconfirmed and uncertain.

The most that we do know is that Michael plans on suing Netflix and actress Sofia Vergara for "unfair compensation" for the interviews he provided since 2022 on the untold and unpublic stories about his mother.

The lawsuit also points out the inaccuracy of Griselda's depiction of his wife Corleone Sepulveda, and his deceased brothers.
