Westworld Season 3 SDCC Trailer Reveals A Captivating New World

HBO is certainly having a great time at San Diego Comic-Con 2019. The latest trailer from the network is for the highly anticipated Westworld Season 3 and it promises a captivating new world.

The trailer opens with Dolores (Evan Rachel Wood) seemingly addressing a fellow host. "We all have a role to play. There are machines in this world but not like us," she says, explaining that they have no mother or father. "We are alone, outnumbered. We have to be smarter than them or they'll find us and they will kill us."

It's clear that Dolores is set on her mission along with Charlotte (Tessa Thompson) but so does Bernard (Jeffrey Wright). When asked why Dolores brought him back, Bernard explains that Ford (Anthony Hopkins) made all of them, including Dolores, for a reason. "I came back to find someone who could help me, someone strong enough to stop her if it comes to that," he says.

Meanwhile, Maeve (Thandie Newton) has found herself in a new world that appears to be set in the 1940s. The world has an interesting contrast to Dolores' modern surroundings now that she is in the real world. Will Dolores succeed with the help of Charlotte and a mysterious new ally (Aaron Paul)? Or are they destined to fail?

Westworld Season 3 has not yet been given an official release date at SDCC. Nevertheless, the series is set to return on HBO by 2020.
