The premiere of Westworld Season 3 is almost here and we can't wait to see just how far-advanced the real world will look in the series. However, there's one person who isn't exactly impressed with the advances in technology. Aaron Paul has just revealed that he believes that technology is slowly killing our joy.
Paul recently spoke to The New York Post where he was asked if working on the HBO series has affected the way he views technology. Interestingly, the Breaking Bad actor admitted that he has some sort of love-hate relationship with technology.
"I've always felt that way about technology ā it's kind of a blessing and a curse," Paul said. "It informs us but also I think it's taking away a lot of the joys of living."
Amazingly, Paul revealed that he is decidedly more low-tech than most people.
"I pride myself on not owning a computer. I am rarely around my phone. I have thousands of unread emails. I have my phone down and my head up. That's kind of how I live my life," he shared. Paul then stated that people don't need too many devices to enjoy life.
"Someone said this quote to me, like, 'Birds don't carry anything; because of that, they're able to fly.' I love that. We don't need much. I think people forget how beautiful this planet is. They get distracted by the things in their hands and in their pockets," he concluded.
We're not exactly surprised that Paul isn't big on technology especially since his character in Westworld appears to be an Average Joe. However, Paul's Caleb is set to be an important part of the ongoing fight in the series.
Westworld Season 3 will premiere on HBO on March 15.
