Wesley Snipes recently responded to the reports surrounding the massive delay of the MCU reboot of Blade.

Last week, we learned that director Yann Demange had exited the project, making him the second filmmaker to have left the MCU movie and delaying it once again after years of remaining in development.

While the project remains on track with Mahershala Ali still attached to star, some fans can't help but wonder whether the movie is still happening considering the various behind-the-scenes changes that have occurred over the past few years.

In his recent post on X, Snipes weighed in on the delay of the MCU reboot of Blade where he poked fun at the situation and its difficulty in finding the "secret sauce" to make the movie happen.

"Blade, lordylordylordy folks still lookin for the secret sauce, ridin snowmobiles in traffic, kinda rough. Daywalkers make it look easy, don’t they?" he wrote in his post.

The project has been challenging for Marvel Studios as they don't want to repeat the same formula of the Snipes-led trilogy and they're finding a way to bring back the iconic character in a fresh way and fit in the MCU.

Fortunately, a recent report has suggested that the project's writing process might be nearing the finish line with the hiring of Eric Pearson, who is seen as a reliable writer in Marvel Studios as he penned various MCU films in the past.

Whether the project will finally have a day in the sun soon or not, fans are still anticipating the movie to happen as they've been looking forward to the Daywalker's official MCU debut following the tease in the post-credits scene of Eternals.

For now, let's wait and see whether the project will be able to find a new director soon and, hopefully, we won't hear any massive delays again in the coming months.

Blade is still scheduled for release in theaters on November 7, 2025.
