Wesley Snipes Open To Return As Blade Or Play Any Other Marvel Character

Wesley Snipes isn't only interested in reprising his role as the popular vampire hunter Blade – the Blade star's interested in playing any other character Marvel's willing to offer him too.

h Marvel's new Black Panther movie is just two weeks away from its official release date and so The Hollywood Reporter decided to sit down with Snipes and talk about the untold story behind the actor's very own failed Black Panther project.

During the interview with the publication, Snipes was asked about whether or not he'd be open to reprising his role as Marvel's iconic vampire hunter and it seems like the Blade star would be willing to play Blade and any other character that the studio would offer him too.

"I am very much open to all of the possibilities," the actor said. "If Blade 4 comes along, that is a conversation we can have. And there are other characters in the Marvel universe that, if they want to invite me to play around with, I am with that too. I think the fans have a hunger for me to revision the Blade character, so that could limit where they could place me as another character in that universe."

Snipes does have a point. Blade might be one of the top black superheroes in the Marvel comic book universe, but reprising his role as the vampire hunter would limit any other potential roles he could take in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. Marvel could very well offer the Blade star a part in its growing Cosmic Universe. Who knows.

Black Panther makes its big debut on February 16.
