Despite the fact that Zack Snyder's Justice League ultimately succeeded in pleasing fans and critics, the buzz it generated apparently was not enough for Warner Bros. to reconsider bringing back the director to continue his plans for the DC Extended Universe. Still, fans remain hopeful that the SnyderVerse will be restored but as it stands, it's evident that the production company is adamant about moving forward with its own plans for the franchise.

As the hype surrounding the 4-hour comic book film extravaganza slowly dies down, WB released a 4K version of Joss Whedon's theatrical cut of Justice League which of course seems a bit suspicious. Now, it's worth noting that WB has previously reiterated that the 2017 version of the film is what they consider canon to the DCEU.

The trailer was released yesterday and naturally, fans of the SnyderVerse movement weren't pleased with it. As of writing, the 4K version of Joss Whedon's Justice League has earned over 21,000 dislikes and counting on YouTube. Check it out here:

It's unclear why WB decided to the trailer amid the growing clamor from fans to see Zack Snyder's DCEU vision come to life but I don't know, something tells me that it may be the final nail in the coffin of the SnyderVerse movement and WB wants to enforce to the fandom that they are still going to call the shots and no online amount of campaigns online will influence their decision.

Zack Snyder's Justice League is still streaming on HBO Max.
