For years, the DC film and television franchise has been trying its best to replicate the success of Marvel Studios but to no avail. Under the previous Warner Bros. regime, the franchise has drawn flak from the DC fandom over several questionable creative decisions.
As Walter Hamada shockingly departed from DC Films following the completion of the Warner Bros. Discovery merger, it was reported that the new regime was on the lookout for a new leader that would serve as DC Studios' answer to Kevin Feige. Well, it turns out that at one point, they were determined to lure the beloved producer away from the Marvel franchise.
Above the Line's Neil Turitz recently reported that prior to Gunn and Safran's co-appointment as leaders of the rebranded DC Films, Warner Bros. Discovery boss David Zaslav made a shocking offer to Marvel Studios President Kevin Feige to defect to the DC Universe.
It turns out that Zaslav personally approached the Marvel and Star Wars producer and asked him to lead DC Studios, an offer that Feige would decline.

In case you weren't aware, Feige came close to making the DCU jump in 2015 after it was reported that he was having issues with then-Marvel CEO Ike Perlmutter. The shocking transfer didn't occur after he was promoted to Chief Creative Officer for the company.
Considering Feige has done it all in the MCU, one would think that a move to a different franchise would be the most logical career decision for him but obviously, he's happy where he's at.
Meanwhile, Marvel Studios' next film Black Panther: Wakanda Forever hits cinemas on November 11th.
