Watchmen Teases Trent Reznor And Atticus Ross Musical Score For HBO Series

It has been a long wait but the Watchmen series will finally premiere tonight on HBO. While we're counting down the hours, a new teaser lets us hear the edgy musical score by Trent Reznor and Atticus Ross for the show.

The teaser was shared by the official Watchmen Twitter account and although it doesn't feature any new footage from the series, it shows the musicians behind the scoring. Check it out below.

I don't know about you but the music sets the mood for Watchmen quite perfectly. The Nine Inch Nails musicians have once again proven that they know exactly how to set the tone for a groundbreaking project.

This isn't the first time that Reznor and Ross have worked together to provide an amazing soundtrack for a film or TV show. They previously collaborated for The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo, which earned them the Grammy Award for Best Score Soundtrack for Visual Media. Although we only hear a small snippet of what the Watchmen soundtrack will be like, it won't be a surprise if Reznor and Ross get another Grammy soon.

Watchmen is created by Damon Lindelof, who confirms that the series will serve as a sequel to the Alan Moore graphic novel. It will star Regina King, Tim Blake Nelson, Jean Smart, Don Johnson, Louis Gosset Jr., Yahya Abdul-Mateen II, and Jeremy Irons. The first episode It's Summer and We're Running Out of Ice is directed by Nicole Kassell and will premiere on HBO on October 20.
