Watchmen Composer Trent Reznor Disses Netflix for His Destroying Bird Box Score

People might be happy with the musical score of Watchmen but Trent Reznor has revealed that he had another project that was less than satisfying. The Nine Inch Nails frontman has just dissed Netflix for destroying the score he and Atticus Ross worked on for the horror flick Bird Box.

Reznor recently spoke to Pitchfork about his work on the Sandra Bullock film score, stating that it became disastrous when they realized the other people involved were not truly committed to the project.

"When we got immersed in it, it felt like some people were phoning it in," Reznor said. "And you're stuck with a film editor who had real bad taste. That's kind of our barricade to getting stuff in the film. And the final icing on the s--t cake was we were on tour when we mixed it. And they mixed the music so low, you couldn't hear it anyway."

At this point, Reznor simply laughed about the experience because it "was a f--king waste of time." Naturally, he and Ross didn't have high expectations about the movie although they turned out to be wrong.

"Then we thought, no one's going to see this f--king movie. And, of course, it's the hugest movie ever in Netflix," Reznor shared.

His experience with Bird Box may not have been pleasant but it looks like Reznor finally had a project that worked perfectly. His score for Watchmen, which was done with Ross, has been praised by fans.

Watchmen has not yet been renewed for a second season but fans are hoping Reznor and Ross will continue working on the score in Season 2.
