Watch Young Keanu Reeves and Alex Winter Audition for Bill and Ted's Excellent Adventure

It's hard to imagine anybody other than Keanu Reeves and Alex Winter playing Theodore 'Ted' Logan and William 'Bill' S. Preston, Esq. in the Bill and Ted movies. However, there was a time when Orion was still looking for the perfect actors to portray the Wyld Stallyns members who go on an excellent time-travelling adventure. Luckily, we can now see how Reeves and Winter auditioned for the roles.

The audition videos were revealed by Daily Mail and it confirms that Reeves and Winter had awesome chemistry right from the start. Watch their auditions below.

Interestingly, the first video actually features Reeves taking on the role of Bill while Winter is playing Ted. Although it still works out pretty well, the second video shows that Orion decided to switch the roles between the two actors and it ended up being the perfect fit.

We're loving the idea that Reeves and Winter had fun working together even when they were just auditioning for the roles. Their performance in the first two Bill and Ted movies were so iconic that Kevin Smith even admitted that the characters inspired him to create his own duo, Jay and Silent Bob.

Reeves and Winter will return in Bill and Ted Face the Music, which will also bring back William Sadler as Grim Reaper. New cast members include Samara Weaving, Brigette Lundy-Paine, Kristen Schaal, Anthony Carrigan, Erinn Hayes, Jayma Mays, Holland Taylor, Kid Cudi, and Jillian Bell. The film will be released in theaters and on video-on-demand on August 28.
