June is here, and would you believe it, Spider-Man: Homecoming is barely a month away. We're getting a steady stream of marketing for the movie, and a new clip has Tony Stark coming up with alibis for Peter Parker just to keep Aunt May happy.
What I really love about the clip is that Robert Downey Jr. was improvising that whole "skimpy outfit" line. It's no secret that a lot of people have been shipping an Aunt May and Tony Stark romance since they met in Captain America: Civil War, and even RDJ is in on the joke.
I'm guessing that there's a whole lot of other messages that they aren't showing in the clip, and I'm not complaining. At this point, someone can edit all the clips from the trailers and give us an excerpt of the entire movie. Damn Sony, we already want to see Spider-Man: Homecoming, you don't have to give us all the major plot points in the second trailer.
Either way, I'm excited for Homecoming. Tom Holland seems like a really good fit for the role, and I'm loving the new direction that they're taking with this version of Spider-Man. Top that with their unique take on the Vulture, and Sony might just be sitting on the best cinematic version of Marvel's favorite wall-crawler.
Spider-Man: Homecoming hits theaters July 7.
