After months of waiting, we finally have out first look at Aquaman. With a new trailer also comes an extensive breakdown from Youtube's Mr. Sunday Movies, who also relates the trailer to some previously dropped news about the film.
For one, his scenes in the trailer were very brief, but it was actually Willem Dafoe's Vulko who was teaching a young Arthur Curry to fight. Apparently Vulko is the one who is Arthur's main connection to Atlantis, but he was disappointed to find out that he was shunned because he was half-human.
Mr. Sunday also gives us some small updates on what was shown in the Comic-Con panel, and it was said to have included longer training scenes between Arthur and Vulko; plus a reveal that there is actually more than one Black Manta in the movie.
After the disappointing reception of Justice League, a lot of people are hoping that Aquaman manages to get the franchise back on its feet. A lot of people have faith that James Wan is going to deliver one hell of a film, and I'm crossing my fingers that he definitely does.
Catch Aquaman in theaters Dec. 21.
