Corridor Crew may have made a name for themselves breaking down visual effects, but they also have this series where they get stuntmen to react to other good and bad stunts. This time they’re joined by Ilram Choi who was a stuntman for The Amazing Spider-Man and a coordinator for Spider-Man: Homecoming.

What I love to see sometimes is the stunt reel where the stuntpeople shoot a mock-up of the scene before it’s actually shot. Choi gives us a breakdown of the ATM fight scene in Homecoming, and we get some shots of the stunt crew pulling off the same action in a room made out of boxes.
It’s also pretty cool that Choi would be behind the suit for several scenes in The Amazing Spider-Man 1 and 2. Probably the most impressive stunt that the series has brought to the screen was Spider-Man really swinging from building to building; it’s pretty impressive how Choi made it look natural with the way he moved his body. He also points out that one of the hardest things to do for his Spidey in TASM2 was to stick to a wall properly; apparently the rig couldn’t get close enough to the wall, and Choi had to use a lot of his core strength just for the shot of Spider-Man listening in on Harry Osborn.
While the movies themselves are fun, I always enjoy finding out what kind of work went behind making several shots. You’d think that Choi would deserve just as much credit as Holland when it comes to these movies.
For now, the next film in the Spider-Verse is Morbius, and it hits theaters on July 31.
