Watch: Simon Pegg and Nick Frost Update Shaun of the Dead Plan for Coronavirus Crisis

Simon Pegg and Nick Frost are probably best known for their work on cult hit Shaun of the Dead, and with the Coronavirus Outbreak at full swing right now, Pegg and Frost have chosen to redo a famous scene from SotD and update it for the plan to prep for the Coronavirus.

Check it out:

While it doesn't have all the fun cuts and quick shots that the film has, the exchange is still pretty fun. I thought the ‘homophobic' line was a bit too on the nose, but that's probably a necessary precaution just in case the video gets any backlash.

For context, you can check out the original video here:

This is also a neat Easter Egg, but Pegg had decided to use a Star Trek mug for the final shot. He's been expressing his dismay when it came to the Trek franchise coming to a halt, so it's pretty great that he's showing us that he still has it in mind. Personally I loved Beyond, and I was kind of bummed out that the film underperformed in the box office. If things pushed through as planned, we would have had Chris Hemsworth return as George Kirk for the fourth film.

With the world coming to a halt with all these lockdowns and quarantines, I guess the only thing we can really do is stay at home, wash our hands frequently, and if we do go out for supplies, make sure not to hoard them so that there'll be plenty to go around.

In the meantime, just have a nice cold pint, and wait for all this to blow over.
