Watch: MTG Pro Luis Scott-Vargas Bluffs To Win A Game At Pro Tour Guilds of Ravnica

Wizards of the Coast

Magic: The Gathering's Pro Tour Guilds of Ravnica just happened this weekend, and one of the best highlights of the event is when Hall of Famer Luis-Scott Vargas bluffed to win his semifinals Standard match against Jeremy Dezani.

As you can see in the video above, both players are at 7 life and it's Dezani's turn to attack. LSV has a copy of Settle the Wreckage on hand, which means Dezani's attacking creatures would be exiled.

Of course, Dezani is not sure about that so he's considering whether to attack all of his creatures or not. To lure Dezani into attacking his whole team, LSV "hesitantly" grabs a Vampire token that Adanto, the First Fort would create as if to consider blocking as if that's his only choice to defend himself. Dezani even picked up the token that LSV touched to line-up the perceived blockers and see if he could penetrate enough damage to win the game, but when Dezani decided to finally attack his whole team, it was over. LSV set aside the Vampire token and tapped his four lands to play Settle the Wreckage, exiling all of Dezani's creatures.

This is awesome to watch, especially with Marshall Sutcliffe and Reid Duke's exciting commentary. Many fans were already happy when they found out that LSV made the Top 8 of the Pro Tour again. He may have lost the finals against Andrew Elenbogen but he gave one of the most amusing MTG moments captured on video. This probably tops his Gutshot win or the time he trolled the Pro Tour Dominaria coverage while drafting.
