Watch Leaked Footage from Telltale's Cancelled Stranger Things Game

It was announced last June that Telltale Games was going to work on a Stranger Things game for Netflix, but seeing as that studio has announced its closure, the game for now is considered cancelled. If it's any consolation, though, some footage of the game in development has leaked online, and it features a Demogorgon chase in the Upside-Down.

Check it out:

Even if the game is cancelled for now, Netflix has said that they will continue looking for other developers to pick up the Stranger Things IP and make a game out of it. There's already a decent enough mobile-app, but Netflix may want to try something a tad more ambitious.

If you ask me, Stranger Things would make for one good platformer. You already have numerous characters in the show and they can all be given special abilities; add to that you can keep to the mystery/adventure aspect of the game. Then again, it's possible that Netflix would just want to work on whatever Telltale already came up with and just build up from there.

As for Stranger Things the show, we're not going to be getting the third season this Halloween. It looks like the Duffer Brothers have upped the ante for Season 3, and like Game of Thrones and Westworld, they've delayed the release in order to catch up to production demands.

I'll admit, I'm a bit bummed out about it, but at least we have an amazing season to look forward to next year.

Catch Stranger Things 3 on Netflix next year.
