Watch James Corden And Ben Kingsley Bring Mary Poppins To Crosswalk Musical

We still have to wait for more than a year before we get to watch Emily Blunt in Mary Poppins Returns, but James Corden seems to be getting is excited for the musical as early as today.

In another edition of Crosswalk Musical, Corden and a bunch of actors perform a handful of songs from the classic Disney musical Mary Poppins. He was even able to drag in renowned actor Ben Kingsley to play the role of Dick Van Dyke’s Bert.

Last time, Corden did the same thing with Beauty and the Beast, and he even dragged along stars Luke Evans (Gaston), Dan Stevens (Beast), and Josh Gad (Lefou) from the movie. The bit basically has Corden and his actors waiting for a stop light, then they rush out in front of the cars to perform one song. The moment that the lights turn green, Corden’s merry band of players then rushes “offstage” to prepare for the next scene.

I’m curious just how much more of these “musicals” Corden has in mind. I’m pretty sure any movie involving a musical will be booking Corden to do this as promotion. Let’s see, we have the Wicked movie coming up, the live-action adaptations of Disney’s Mulan and Aladdin. Ready that wardrobe, Corden!

Mary Poppins Returns is set to come out Dec. 25, 2018.
