Watch: In-Depth Breakdown of the Latest Joker Trailer

There are only two DCEU films coming out this year, and one of them is Todd Phillips' Joker which is set to come out in October. A new trailer had just dropped for the movie yesterday and Mr. Sunday Movies from Youtube has given us his in-depth breakdown complete with his signature sense of humor.

While a lot of people had pointed out that the kid in the trailer was actually Bruce Wayne, it was never apparent to me that this Joker had some kind of disdain for the rich class. There is one scene where it looks like the Joker has a personal vendetta against the Waynes, and based on the leaked set videos, he's also going to be targeting Thomas Wayne, who in this story is running for mayor of Gotham City.

If you also want to get a good idea for the film, I suggest you check out Martin Scorsese's The King of Comedy. The Joker film seems to be getting a lot of cues from that film, including an insane comedian who takes over a TV show; even Robert De Niro is in this movie playing the role of a talk show host. No doubt the Joker is going to be taking over his set and he'll be bringing a new type of insanity to Gotham.

Joker centers around the iconic arch-nemesis and is an original, standalone story not seen before on the big screen. The exploration of Arthur Fleck (Joaquin Phoenix), a man disregarded by society, is not only a gritty character study, but also a broader cautionary tale.

Catch Joker in theaters Oct. 4.
