Watch How Sam Raimi’s Spider-Man 2 Should Have Ended

It’s going to be a while before we get the release of Tom Holland’s third Spider-Man movie, and while cinemas are on lockdown, HISHE on Youtube has decided to go back to 2004 and give us a video covering how Spider-Man 2 should have ended.

Like every How It Should have Ended video, this one points out all the glaring plotholes of the film. For one, Doctor Octavius should not have been performing his experiment with very minimal safety precautions. He could have also just easily taken out Spider-Man while he was trying to save the train and not immediately after.

I have to say, though, while Spider-Man 2 remains a masterpiece to the comic book movie fandom, revisiting the film kind of makes you realize just how campy it is. I mean, the action sequences still looked amazing, but lines like “I have nothing now, except Spider-Man,” and “Punch me, I bleed,” are way cornier now than they were back in 2004.

For now, everyone is waiting on the release of Spider-Man 3 next year starring Tom Holland. We don’t know what the movie could be about, but some are already hoping that we get a Sinister Six team-up. If you ask me, they should just keep the ball rolling for a longer while, gathering more enemies for Peter, and by the sixth film, we’ll get the big Sinister Six clash. Then again, that’s just my idea. I think with the right writing and directing, they can pull it off for the third movie.

Spider-Man 3 is set to come out Nov. 5, 2021.
