Watch Fun Trailer for Netflix's New Animated Film, The Willoughbys

The Coronavirus Outbreak may be delaying everything coming out in theaters, but Netflix is still pumping out their movies according to schedule. Just in, we have a new trailer for an upcoming film called The Willoghbys.

Here's the official description:

Convinced they'd be better off raising themselves, the Willoughby children hatch a sneaky plan to send their selfish parents on vacation. The siblings then embark on their own high-flying adventure to find the true meaning of family.

The movie has a star-studded cast including the likes of Will Forte, Maya Rudolph, Martin Short, Terry Crews, and Jane Krakowski. The narrator, or The Cat according to the credits, is also voiced by Ricky Gervais.

The film comes from three directors, Kris Pearn, Cory Evans, and Rob Lodermeier. While this is the first film that is being directed by Evans and Lodermeier, Pearn has actually been on the helm for Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs 2. It's also worth noting that the film is based on the 2008 book of the same name from author Lois Lowry.

I have to say, Netflix has been doing really great when it comes to their animated material. Besides shows like BoJack Horseman and Big Mouth, we also have some fantastic animated films like last year's Klaus. While my expectations for The Willoughbys isn't really that high, I'm sure it's going to be a fine film for the whole family.

The Willoughbys hits Netflix on April 22.
