A lot of people may not know what Lost in Space is, but have probably heard the ‘Danger, Will Robinson, Danger!' reference in one TV show or another. Netflix has made a (expensive-looking) reboot of the series, and now we have a new featurette that gives us an insider glimpse of the show.
Check it out:
Though the show was originally marketed as a sci-fi adventure comedy, I thought the trailer actually looked a tad too serious. With the featurette, however, things start to look more uplifting, what with more emphasis on the show's sense of family and adventure. I guess it really is just about marketing the movie properly to your audience.
Here's the official synopsis:
Meet the Robinson family as they blast off on an edge-of-your-seat adventure to establish a new colony in space, but find themselves suddenly pulled off course and crash landed on a lost planet. This first featurette provides an inside look into the family, the lost planet, and the adventures they embark on together.
With Altered Carbon coming out as one huge bore-fest—to me, at least—hopefully Lost in Space will capture the same sense of adventure and thrill as Stranger Things.
Lost in Space airs on Netflix April 13.
