Watch: Every Easter Egg and Reference in Black Panther

[THIS VIDEO CONTAINS SPOILERS FOR BLACK PANTHER]

Black Panther is coming out to be one of the most celebrated movies in the MCU, and like many other Marvel movies, it’s chock-full of references and Easter Eggs that hint at the comics, as well as past and future films. Thanks to Mr. Sunday Movies, we have a good break down of all of them.

Though the golden panther suit was used by Killmonger in the movie, it’s worth noting that T’Challa has also worn a gold necklace in the comics. The leopard print on the costume could also hint at Killmonger’s leopard pet from the books as well.

The choice to have Oakland as a setting was also done not only because it was director Ryan Coogler’s hometown, but also because the city is also where the “Black Panther” movement also originated back in the 60s.

With Marvel movies having the timeline that the film is usually released in, it looks like Black Panther takes place very shortly after Civil War. This isn’t the first movie to do so, as Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 also happens mere months after the first film.

There’s a bunch more that I can’t mention here, that’s because it’s in the video. It’s an interesting watch, and for people like me who like to search for movie trivia, there’s a lot of fun discoveries about the movie.
