While Disney may have taken its time when it came to the first trailer for The Mandalorian Season 2, the studio is now building the hype for their most anticipated show of the year. Just in, ILM has released an insider featurette giving us a deep-dive into the creation of Mando's iconic ship—the Razor Crest.

Check it out:

Here's the official description:

Join us as we journey behind the scenes of the Emmy™ Award-winning visual effects behind the first season of The Mandalorian. We'll pull back the curtain on one of our favorite bounty hunter's ship, the infamous Razor Crest and look at the distinctive former military ship from its initial concept design in Doug Chiang's Lucasfilm art department through to ILM artists building the ship in the digital realm and as a practical miniature for filming. We'll also look at the parallel development of the custom motion control camera system created by ILM Visual Effects Supervisor, John Knoll to allow for the first motion control shots to film at ILM in 15 years. We hope you enjoy this look ‘Inside ILM'.

Though the Prequels were frequently bashed, it is no doubt that the films had pushed the envelope that gave us modern VFX. What's great is, Jon Favreau is looking to do the same thing with The Mandalorian, while at the same time paying respect to the filmmaking methods that made the original trilogy possible.

We don't know what the full story of the second season will be yet, but there is already a lot of rumors about the appearance of fan-favorite characters like Ahsoka Tano and Boba Fett. While that's all nice for the fans, I'm hoping they still have some room for some new ideas and concepts. Hopefully, we get to have some more answers when it comes to Moff Gideon and why he wants Baby Yoda.

Catch The Mandalorian Season 2 when it comes out on Disney+ on Oct. 30.
