While Aquaman has turned the tide and made fans more receptive towards the DCEU, fans are still wondering how Zack Snyder would have ended his run on the cinematic universe. Justice League was a mess that tried too hard to appeal audiences and should have been left alone, hence those that want to see the fabled "Snyder Cut." Though we may never know what the 300 director planned, a shirt he shared for suicide prevention might hold the key to this.
First of all, it is a bit tasteless to talk about fan theories alongside suicide prevention, especially after what happened to Snyder's daughter. However, Snyder did applaud the fan theory of someone in Vero, seemingly confirming the five-part DC story the director had planned which would have resulted in Batman's death.
That's right, the director has an out for actor Ben Affleck, which is probably why he stayed on after Batman V Superman, though his future beyond Justice League is still questionable.

Anyway, the full theory has Batman dying after a battle with Darkseid in what would have been the second Justice League movie. This seems to be a sacrifice on the part of Batman, which would have been emotional for many fans, especially those who claimed that Affleck was the best Batman. Superman and Lois Lane would have then had a child named Bruce, as a nice tribute to their fallen friend.
