It looks like the classic Looney Tunes villain Wile E. Coyote is finally getting his own spotlight on the big screen with his own feature film.
According to a new report by Deadline, the supervising producers behind CBS' show Living Biblically, Jon and Josh Silberman, have both been hired to write Wile E. Coyote's upcoming film, Coyotoe Vs. Acme. For those who aren't that familiar with the Silberman Brothers, Jon and Josh also worked on It's Always Sunny In Philadelphia, FX's hit comedy series. The Silberman Siblings have been part of the staff of the series for its past three seasons. Other previous projects of the Silberman's include FOX's Bordertown, Hulu's Deadbeat, as well as Good Vibes and Free Agents.
The Lego Batman Movie director Chris McKay is also set to produce the film.
While we're not quite sure yet what kind of plot Looney Tunes fans are going to get in Coyote Vs. Acme, the Silberman Siblings certainly have a lot of stories and adventures to choose from in writing their script for the film. After all, Road Runner's nemesis has had more than 70 years of stories in the small screen.
Coyote Vs. Acme is going to be the third big Looney Tunes movie after the 1996 Space Jame and the 2003 Looney Tunes: Back In Action.
Coyote Vs. Acme doesn't have a release date just yet but we'll let everyone know as soon as we get word.
