Shazam! might not be due to premiere till next year but it looks like the team behind the highly anticipated DC Extended Universe installment already has plans for a few sequels.
Entertainment Weekly's been busy covering Shazam! and in the latest issue of the magazine, the publication had an article where film producer Peter Safran was asked about Captain Marvel's future in Warner Brother's burgeoning superhero franchise. Not only did the producer tease a bright future for Shazam, but when asked about possible sequels and the inevitable maturing of Asher Angel, Safran promised fans that they've got things handled.
"We have plans in place for sequels that take into account those realities," Safran told the publication in an interview.
Warner Brothers' has a long way to go till Shazam! premieres, but Safran's response saying that the team already has plans for sequels shows just how confident the studio that Captain Marvel's debut is going to be nothing but a hit.
While it might seem a bit assuming, there's been a whole lot of excitement for Shazam!. Not only have fans have been gushing about Zachary Levi's look and demeanor as Captain Marvel, they're also betting that the film's going to be one of the best installments in the DCEU.
Shazam! makes its big premiere on April 05, 2019.
