Fans have long associated Elizabeth Olsen with superheroes, being one of the Marvel Cinematic Universe's longest-tenured stars, and now that she's taking some much-need break from the franchise, some are curious to know what's next for everyone's favorite Olsen.

Not a lot of people know about this but the WandaVision and Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness star is also a huge Star Wars junkie. Naturally, that makes her an obvious choice for a role but surprisingly enough, Olsen doesn't seem too keen about the prospect.

In an interview with Josh Horowitz on the Happy Sad Confused podcast, the 34-year-old star opened up about her love for Star Wars growing up. Although she admits not catching up on the newer films aka the sequel trilogy, the actress says A New Hope, The Empire Strikes Back, and Return of the Jedi still hold a special place in her heart.

When asked if she's interested in joining Star Wars or any franchise for that matter, the star of Max's true crime drama series Love & Death simply said: "I don't know if I would do that right now. Even like an ongoing television series, that to me sounds like a hard thing to say yes to."

In the said interview, Olsen finally debunked the long-standing rumors about her supposed audition for The Force Awakens. "I've never had an audition for that. That wasn't even [in the ether] but fun rumor."

It's a shame, honestly, because Olsen would be a perfect fit for the Star Wars universe. Then again, the actress recently admitted that she's become quite picky with the roles and projects she takes on, and from a professional standpoint, it's quite admirable that she wants to explore more in her career.

But hey, you can never say never, especially in Hollywood and there's still a possibility she could change her mind about joining another high-profile franchise in the future.

Meanwhile, Elizabeth Olsen's latest project Love & Death is streaming on Max.
