There is little doubt that people are still trying to figure out the premise of WandaVision especially when considering the characters involved in the Disney+ series. Although it's easy to explain how Randall Park's Agent Jimmy Woo will play into the show, people are wondering how Jane Foster's intern Darcy Lewis will end up playing a major role in the story. Interestingly, director Matt Shakman has just revealed that it has a lot to do with a major change for Darcy.
Shakman shared some interesting details about the Thor: The Dark World character in the production notes for WandaVision (via ComicBookMovie). As it turns out, Darcy is no longer a mere intern and has actually moved up in life.
"She's gone on to become Dr. Darcy Lewis now," Shakman reveals. "So, she's a real expert in her field."
We're loving the glow up considering that Darcy spent most of the first Thor movies simply running around after Jane and Thor. Amazingly, it looks like she has decided to become a professional and we'll be seeing her show off her expertise in the Marvel series.
The synopsis for WandaVision reads as follows:
"Marvel Studios' WandaVision blends the style of classic sitcoms with the Marvel Cinematic Universe in which Wanda Maximoff (Elizabeth Olsen) and Vision (Paul Bettany)—two super-powered beings living their ideal suburban lives—begin to suspect that everything is not as it seems."
WandaVision is set for a special two-episode premiere on January 15.
