Fans of Mel Monroe (Alexandra Breckenridge) and Jack Sheridan (Martin Henderson) will thoroughly enjoy Virgin River Season 5. Mel has experienced numerous ups and downs since moving to the little town from Los Angeles. After all, Mel was grieving her husband's loss, and Jack was in a relationship when they first met.
Mel and Jack are in a wonderful place now that their romance has cemented.
Mel & Jack Will Remain Strong in Virgin River Season 5
Mel and Jack had been through a lot, including a breakup, some paternity issues, and Charmaine's (Lauren Hammersley) admission. Henderson claims that they will be closer than ever, though.
"From what I understand this season, you're going to also see Mel and Jack get really close," the actor told Express. "Some of the stuff they're going to go through is really going to cement their bond. A lot of season four was stuff pushing them away, like Jack's drinking. I don't think there was true doubt about the relationship, but there were definitely some questions and bumps that were making their union kind of rocky. Hopefully, that big proposal put an end to that."
A More Intense Season
On Virgin River, there has been a considerable upheaval. The show's creator and showrunner for the first four seasons, Sue Tenney, has gone on to other endeavors. Patrick Sean Smith, the creator of Greek, has now taken her place.
Despite having the same basic structure as previous seasons, this season will bring about some modest changes.
We are happy that Jack and Mel will be in a good place now that Mel is pregnant, and their relationship has grown stronger because it is likely that Jack's past will come back to haunt him. As Virgin River viewers are aware, the former Marine had wed a woman by the name of Mandy in the past.
There have been indications that Mandy would make an appearance in Virgin River Season 5. "There are a lot of great Easter eggs and breadcrumbs that have been left, and we are clocking all of them thoughtfully," Smith told Glamour. "I would say, check out season five and see if Mandy makes an appearance."
Since production is scheduled to end in November 2022, we could see Virgin River Season 5 on Netflix as soon as summer 2023
