VICTON member Heo Chan has recently created headlines for a negative action as he gets involved in drunk driving.
On October 11, IST Entertainment, Heo Chan’s agency, announced that “after careful discussions with all the members of VICTON,” he had decided to leave the team. Heo Chan accepts the intention of himself and the members as he could not cause any more trouble that would affect the members, therefore coming to a decision.
VICTON To Continue With Six Members
As a result of Heo Chan’s departure, VICTON will continue promoting as a group with a total of six members. Han Seungwoo, Kang Seungsik, Lim Sejun, Do Hanse, Choi Byungchan, and Jung Soobin will reorganize the team.
Except for Han Seungwoo, who is currently serving in the military, the five members will carry out the 2022 VICTON FAN CONCERT CHRONICLE, which is scheduled to commence on October 15 and 16, as well as future activities of the group.

Hello. This is IST Entertainment.
We would like to express our sincere gratitude to the fans who care about the group VICTON, and we would like to inform you of the changes in the members as follows.
After carefully discussing with all VICTON members, including Heo Chan, we have decided that Heo Chan will leave the team.
He has accepted the intention of himself and the members that he could not cause any more trouble and has therefore arrived at the decision.
Again, we apologize for causing concern to the fans with the sudden news. We ask for everyone’s understanding.
In response, VICTON will reorganize its team with a total of six members, Han Seungwoo, Kang Seungsik, Lim Sejun, Do Hanse, Choi Byungchan, and Jung Soobin. Except for Han Seungwoo, who is currently serving in the military, the five members will be able to handle the "2022 VICTON FAN CONCERT [CHRONICLE]" scheduled for October 15-16 and the group’s future schedule.

Heo Chan Gets Caught Drunk Driving
On September 20, Heo Chan was caught by the police while driving under the influence of alcohol near Samseong-dong, Gangnam-gu, around 6:40 AM KST. The Gangnam Police Station investigated him.
During the investigation, Heo Chan’s blood alcohol concentration was reported to be to the extent that his license was cancelled.
After the incident, Heo Chan posted a handwritten letter on VICTON’s fan cafe. He said, “although I should have been more responsible for my actions as a public figure who should be an example to fans and other people, I was greatly disappointed by the wrong choice I made.” Heo chan apologized, saying that he was sincerely reflecting on himself and had spent days in regret and remorse.
Heo Chan debuted with VICTON on November 9, 2016 under Play M Entertainment, and has released the EP Voice to New World. He was the main dancer and vocalist of the group.
