Venom Poster Released; Are We Getting the Trailer Tomorrow?

Sony's Venom spinoff sat out the Super Bowl, but it looks like we're still getting a big reveal this week. After months of waiting, we finally have an official poster, and it's possible that we could be getting out first trailer tomorrow.

Check out this post from the official Venom Twitter page:

The eyes definitely look amazing, and I can't wait to see the full Venom suit in the trailer. Of course, there's a possibility that they won't show all of it, but I'm guessing they would have to, just to solidify the fanbase's faith on this film.

When the Venom movie was first announced, it was unclear whether it would take place in the same universe as Spider-Man, and a lot of people were outraged. How can Spider-Man's nemesis have his own movie without even being connected to the character that made him? With the rumors coming out that Tom Holland will actually cameo as Peter Parker, fans were a bit eased—but that doesn't mean the Venom film is in the clear yet.

Besides Tom Hardy being a fine actor, I think director Ruben Fleischer has a good hand at dark comedy. Zombieland was an amazing film, and the Venom film could use some of that dark humor.

Venom comes out Oct. 5.
