Venom 2 Writer Addresses Character's Potential Future Crossovers

Venom: Let There Be Carnage is currently the number one film at the box office and fans have been talking about it non-stop, especially with what happened at the post-credits scene. Besides the Venom films, Sony also has Morbius and Kraven the Hunter solo films in their slate. Will the symbiote ever cross paths with the other characters?

During an interview with DiscussingFilm, writer Kelly Marcel was asked about the possibility of Venom crossing over with the other Spider-Man villains. "We don't know if there will be another Venom movie after this one, but should they move forward with another one, obviously, I would love to see him interacting with all kinds of villains within the Marvel Universe," she said. "I know Tom [Hardy] would like to do some crossover too. So who knows! There hasn't really been any talk about that and it's really a studio decision and not one that we make. But I think it would be really fun if the studio here decided to start mixing up a bit."

It would be great to see Venom crossover with Morbius and Kraven the Hunter. After all, they are all supposed to be in the same universe so there is a possibility that it could happen. But then, given what happened at the post-credits scene of the sequel, we may see him crossover with a different character first before he shares scenes with the aforementioned villains.

But given the opening weekend box office success of the sequel, you can pretty much guarantee that Sony will greenlight a third one shortly. However, we might see the character in another film first before we get to see his next solo outing. Tom Hardy has stated that he is interested to do another one. Director Andy Serkis has also expressed his desire to return to helm the third film. We should be hearing an official update soon.
