Venom 2 Trailer Leaks Awesome Stan Lee Secret Cameo

Stan Lee may have passed away in 2018 but he continues to show up in almost every Marvel movie released since then. For instance, fans have discovered that Stan the Man had an awesome secret cameo in the trailer for Venom: Let There Be Carnage.

Fans were understandably blown away when the Venom 2 trailer was dropped since it featured our first look at Carnage and Shriek in action. However, it was also delightful to see that Peggy Lu has returned as Mrs. Chen, who has now gotten used to Eddie Brock and Venom coming into her store.

In the trailer, Eddie walks into Mrs. Chen's store where she greets him and Venom who casually acknowledges her as well. As Venom reaches out from Eddie's back, he flips a magazine into place and it is revealed to feature a familiar face on the cover.

That's right, it's the one and only Stan Lee. It's a wonderful and unexpected cameo from the man who specializes in Marvel movie cameos.

Interestingly, some believe that this won't be the only time we'll see Lee in Venom 2. There are speculations that the magazine cover will continue to appear in the film if Eddie and Venom continue visiting Mrs. Chen's store. Either way, we're loving how the sequel is paying tribute to the Marvel legend.

Venom: Let There Be Carnage is directed by Andy Serkis and stars Tom Hardy, Michelle Williams, Reid Scott, and Woody Harrelson from the first film. The sequel introduces Naomie Harris as Shriek and Stephen Graham as Detective Mulligan. The film will premiere on September 24, 2021.
