Venom 2: Tom Hardy Hints At Andy Serkis Directing Sequel

It looks like Tom Hardy already knows who will be directing Venom 2. The Dunkirk star has just teased Andy Serkis' involvement in the highly anticipated sequel to his 2018 film.

Hardy isn't exactly one to post about a lot of things on social media. However, he certainly took time out to find a photo of Serkis and post it on his official Instagram account. Although the post has since been deleted, it certainly got several likes from Hardy's followers.

OK, so Hardy didn't exactly confirm that Serkis will be working on Venom 2. However, the timing certainly had people talking. After all, it was previously reported that the Mowgli: Legend of the Jungle is one of the filmmakers being considered to helm the sequel. Although it might be too soon to confirm it, it probably won't be long before Sony makes an official announcement.

The first Venom film was directed by Ruben Fleischer but it seems unlikely that he will be returning for the sequel. Fleischer has just completed work on Zombieland: Double Tap and might be looking for a new project to work on that doesn't involve any symbiotes.

The premise of Venom 2 has not yet been revealed. However, there is a huge possibility that it will formally introduce Woody Harrelson's Cletus Kasady as Carnage. In addition to that, fans are hoping that Michelle Williams will officially take on the She-Venom persona. Stay tuned for more updates on this story.
