The second Venom film was initially scheduled to premiere in October last year. However, Let There Be Carnage had been repeatedly pushed back due to COVID-19. Although the movie was expected to hit theaters in September, there were speculations that it would be delayed yet again because of SARS-CoV-2 Delta variant.

It might just be another month but this means that Venom 2 has now been pushed back a full year from its original release date. We're really hoping that the film will not be pushed back any further. However, the most recent delay is understandable as a precaution for the Delta variant, which continues to pose a danger these days.

Venom 2 will bring back Tom Hardy as Eddie Brock, Michelle Williams as Anne Weying, and Woody Harrelson as Cletus Kasady. The sequel will also introduce Naomie Harris as Shriek, Kasady's love interest and a potential villain who could play a larger role in future movies.

Venom: Let There Be Carnage will premiere exclusively in theaters on October 15, 2021.
