Venom 2 Merch Hints that Venom will Finally Get White Spider Logo

Though Venom was a critical bomb, the movie still managed to make a lot of money, and the sequel is now set to come out sometime next year. A lot of fans had griped that Venom didn't get his ‘spider' logo in the first movie, but some new merch suggests that he could finally get it in the sequel.

This is a photo of an officially licensed Venom costume, and it sports the iconic white spider that Venom has in the comics:

We don't know how close this looks to the actual film, but you can see that the rest of the costume is covered in the white ‘veins' that were present in the first movie. We can only assume that this has some kind of accuracy to the upcoming sequel.

Probably one of the biggest mistakes of the Venom movie is to have a Venom origin without Spider-Man, but hopefully Sony and Marvel manage to make some kind of compromise when it comes to the original story. We know that fans would go crazy if Tom Holland's Peter managed to get his hands on the symbiote, so the MCU is kind of backed into a corner when it comes to adapting that storyline for the film.

Then again, with the multiverse element being introduced, what are the odds that they could just use that as some kind of explanation to give Venom his white spider?

For now, Venom is set to hit theaters on June 24, 2021.
