We already know that Venom 2 has started production, thanks to some set photos that have surfaced online. Now we have an official first look at Tom Hardy as Eddie Brock in an awesome behind-the-scenes photo.
The image of Hardy in character was shared by photographer Greg Williams on his official Instagram account. Check it out below.
Well, it looks like nothing much has changed for Eddie. He still looks like he's conflicted with the idea of housing a symbiote in his body and now he appears to be brooding in the rain. We're not sure what's happening in this particular scene but it could be an emotional moment for the journalist.
Williams also shared a more lighthearted picture of Hardy with Venom 2 co-star Woody Harrelson, who will play the villainous Cletus Kasady in the sequel.
Kasady was previously introduced in the post-credits scene of the 2018 film. Although Harrelson was shown with a questionable wig in the first movie, it looks like his character will be getting a better haircut in the sequel.
Venom 2 is being directed by Andy Serkis from a screenplay written by Kelly Marcel. In addition to Hardy and Harrelson, the sequel will bring back Michelle Williams as Anne Weying and Reid Scott as Anne's boyfriend Dan Lewis. They will be joined by new cast member Naomie Harris, who has been cast as Kasady's love interest Shriek.
The new Sony film is currently in production and is scheduled for release on October 2.
