Vader Immortal: A Star Wars VR Series Is Finally Available on PlayStation VR

Star Wars fans are in for a treat because it looks like Vader Immortal: A Star Wars VR Series has become even more accessible to gamers.

According to a report by NME, publisher Disney Interactive and developer ILMxLab have finally released Vader Immortal on PlayStation VR, allowing PlayStation gamers access to Star Wars brand new VR game. Set after the events of Star Wars: Revenge of the Sith, ILMxLab's Vader Immortal follows the adventures of a smuggler operating close to Mustafar, the scorching and fiery planet that Darth Vader calls home.

"Back in 2016, when ILMxLAB first started talking about creating a canonical VR series that focused on Darth Vader, our goal was to tell a new and unique story about one of the most infamous villains in the galaxy," Vader Immortal creative director Mark Miller said. "We wanted to bring you into the world of Star Wars in a way that could only be done through immersive storytelling in VR."

In the game, players get the chance to wield a lightsaber and explore Darth Vader's lava planet as well as his fortress on Mustafar. Each episode features a Lightsaber Dojo, an "open-ended training mode where you can hone your skills with the weapon of a Jedi Knight and unlock different lightsaber hilts."

The three-episode action-adventure VR experience first launched in May 2019 on Oculus. Now, it's finally available on PlayStation VR. All three episodes of the Star Wars VR game experience is being packaged together for a single set on PSVR.
